Investigators say 49-year-old Brent Catoe was killed by police after he pointed a weapon at the officers.  The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Wolf Pond Road.

Officers went to the house to serve a warrant on Catoe for an assault on a female charge.  Once police arrived to the home, a witness said Catoe was armed and ran into a wooded area behind his house.

K-9 officers located Catoe but he did not follow the commands of the officers.  He was shot and killed after he pointed his weapon at the cops.

The officers involved in the shooting have been place on administrative leave.
