Police- Man Assaulted Woman on Plane

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Police arrested a South Carolina man accused of assaulting a woman on a plane waiting for takeoff at Charlotte Douglas Airport.

Blake Andrew Jones, 22, was arrested and charged with assault on a female and resisting public officers.

According to police, Jones and a 53-year-old Ohio woman got involved in an argument around 4:45 p.m. Saturday on the aircraft when Jones started hitting her.

Police do not know the cause of the argument but say Jones and the victim did not know each other.
