Police Arrest Man For Robbing Five Charlotte Businesses In 24 Hours

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Police arrested a man who committed five robberies in less than 24 hours throughout Charlotte. 

Investigators say 31-year-old Moussa Diallo had to be treated at a local hospital after being arrested because he was shot during one of the robbery attempts. 

Diallo is accused of robbing businesses throughout Charlotte on May 23rd and May 24th. 

During one of the robberies, an employee of Cardinal Awards fired a shot at Diallo as he was trying to rob another employee of the buisness. 

Diallo fled the scene but was caught later that day on Monroe Road in east Charlotte. 

Police say he had robbed the Las Margaritas Mexican Restaurant before they caught him.

May 23rd:

4:45 p.m. Hollywood Beauty Supply on Little Rock Road

8:12 p.m. 99 Cent and Up Store on Sharon Amity Road

11:55 p.m. Silver Express Food Mart on Albemarle Road

May 24th:

8:14 a.m. Cardinal Awards on S. Tryon Street

9:55 a.m. Las Margaritas Restaurant on E. Independence Boulevard

Diallo has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of robbery with a dangerous weapon, one count of felony breaking and entering and one count of 2nd degree kidnapping.
