Police Arrest Suspect in 2012 Bank Robbery

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Robbery Unit Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested a man in connection to a bank robbery in 2012.

Police say a suspect entered the BB&T Bank on South Tryon Street in April 2012 demanding money claiming to be armed. He then took the money and fled on foot.

James Mitchell McConnell, 46, was charged with armed robbery. A Crime Stoppers tip led police to Mitchell, who was serving time in the Gaston County Detention Center.
