Robbery Possible Motive in Triple Homicide in Union CountyMARSHVILLE, NC -- Robbery may be the motive for a triple murder in Union County. The man charged with the crime remains in jail without bond tonight. According to Sheriff Eddie Cathey, Randall Morrison faces three counts of first degree murder and robbery. Deputies arrested Morrison on Wednesday around 9 p.m. He lives next door to the victims and told investigators he discovered their bodies. Evidence found at the scene ties Morrison to the murders. The three victims, Ronnie Overcash, Jerry Marsh and Crystal Hicks were found at a home on Landsford Rd. early Saturday morning. Sheriff Cathey would not specifically discuss how the victims were killed, but confirmed that a shotgun and knife were used in the commission of the crime. Crystal Hicks was found outside the residence in a wooded area near the home, while Ronnie Overcash and Jerry Marsh were found inside the residence.
