MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA--Police say they charged four men, who were dressed as Smurfs, with assault for beating a man outside a convenience store. 

Investigators say the men painted their skin blue and dressed like the fictional characters on the cartoon. 

Reports claim the men assaulted a 37-year-old man because he refused to light a cigarette for one of the suspects.
