Police: Mooresvile Resident Opens Fire on Breaking and Entering Suspect

MOORESVILLE, N.C.--A resident in Mooresville opened fire during an apparent break-in.  Now, the suspect is at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. 

The shooting happened Sunday morning at an apartment complex on Colonial Ridge Circle. 

Police are not saying much other than their preliminary investigation shows the case is related to a domestic dispute. 

There is no word if the resident who opened fire will face charges.
