Police Say Probation Officer Sexually Assaulted Woman At Local Probation Office

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Police say a local probation officer has been arrested for sexually assaulting a woman that was on probation. 

Investigators say 48-year-old David Francis sexually assaulted the woman at a state-owned office on Albemarle Road in east Charlotte. 

The victim claims Francis assaulted her during a probation meeting. 

Francis has been charged with sex offense, sexual battery and sexual activity by a custodian.
