Police Searching for Gunman in West Charlotte ShootingCHARLOTTE, NC -- A woman is recovering after she was shot early Saturday morning. According to authorities, the shooting took place shortly after midnight on Doctor Carver Road near West Boulevard. The woman who was shot sustained critical injuries and was transported to Carolinas Medical Center. Police say they are still searching for the gunman. There is no word yet on the suspect's description and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers or notify police.
