CHARLOTTE,NC--A message of hope for Boston from people in west Charlotte.

New Outreach Christian Center held a candlelight vigil to provide comfort and support for the victims affected by the Boston bombing.

Pastor Brenda Stevenson says she wants the people of Boston to know they are not alone, "we've got to be concerned and pray for each other. We're family when this happens," says Stevenson.

Vigils are also being held in Boston to honor the three people that were killed in the bombings.

President Obama is reported to be attending an interfaith service in the city Thursday.
