North Rowan High Teacher Suspended 10 Days Without PaySPENCER, NC -- A North Rowan High teacher whose classroom tirade was caught on a cell phone, has been suspended for 10 days without pay. Tonya Dixon-Neely went off last month when a student criticized President Obama. The incident received national attention after the video was posted on YouTube. The Rowan-Salisbury School District says Dixon-Neely will also complete a monitored growth plan.
