S.C. Family Finds Bear Cubs in BoxOCONEE COUNTY, S.C.--A South Carolina firefighter and his family thought they were rescuing some puppies and ended up finding a trio of bear cubs. They spotted a cardboard box on the side of a road in Oconee County and heard strange noises. When they looked inside, they found the nearly one month old cubs. Each one weighs less than three pounds. The family contacted the Department of Natural Resources. Two of the cubs were taken to a bear rescue in Tennessee, the third went to Charleston. |
