Salisbury Police Recreate Fatal Scene To Determine If Charges Will Be Filed
ROWAN COUNTY, NC -- On Wednesday, a 12-year-old boy was killed in a deadly car collision. Salisbury Police say, John Murdock was pronounced deceased at the scene after the car he was riding in collided with another vehicle. It happened at the intersection of Airport Road and Cedar Springs Road. The Honda was being driven by Brandy Naylor, who was attempting to make a left turn and smashed into a Jeep Cherokee in oncoming traffic.
On Thursday, police went back out to the scene of the deadly crash to see if speed was a factor. It was unclear, if Murdock was wearing a seatbelt on Wednesday. Police say there also was a two-year-old passenger in the Honda at the time of accident. The toddler was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for an abrasion on the forehead.
At this time, no charges have been filed against Naylor. The driver and two other passengers in the Jeep were expected to be okay. We will have more on this developing story as details become available.
