Asiana Airlines To Sue TV Station Following its Major Error
SAN FRANCISCO, C.A.--A San Francisco TV station will be facing a lawsuit after it wrongly reported the names of the pilots that flew the Asiana plane that crashed.
Asiana Airlines said the TV station ruined its reputation. The station, however, said someone from the National Transportation Safety Board had confirmed the report.
The airline says the report was 'inaccurate and offensive.' The bogus names were given out by a NTSB intern.
A KTVU anchor read the names Friday during an afternoon newscast. The station issued an appology later in the day.
