ROCK HILL, SC--A huge for Channon Forte outside her Rock Hill home where her fiance, Shannon Jenkins' life came to an end. "We're coping. We're in shock," Forte said.

York County Sheriff's Deputies say 26 year old Vincent Bratton shot and killed Jenkins around one o'clock this morning. They're not saying why they think he broke into the home on Neely Store Road.
"They just came in and destroyed my life," she said.

Court records show Bratton was arrested Friday on weapons and drug charges. On Saturday, he was released from jail on a more than thirty thousand dollar bond. "This violence. It gotta stop. It gotta stop. It's not worth it," Forte said.

Forte says her fiance first met Bratton six years ago. Bratton lived with their family for two years, even cared for their children. Earlier today, Channon pleaded for that one time friend turned murder
suspect to contact investigators. "Turn yourself in Vincent, turn yourself in," she said.

And he did on Sunday at 6 p.m. Now Forte plans to move forward and raise her five children all alone, "I just gotta carry on like he would want me too. Cause these were our goals and plans.I just gotta do for my kids and carry on," said Forte.

Deputies aren't saying if Bratton took anything from the home. South Carolina Judicial Department records show Bratton has an extensive criminal history that dates back to 1997. It includes armed robbery, weapons charges and speeding tickets.
