Shark Bites Girl at Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.--A South Carolina girl is recovering after a shark bit her at Myrtle Beach.
Allyson Foreman was boogie boarding with her family when the shark bit her arm.
Her mother, Mandy Foreman, said she was standing in waist-deep water when suddenly she heard her daughter screaming.
Allyson said the shark swam away after she tried pushing it off.
A spokesperson for the hospital said medical personnel treated only about three shark bites a year on average.
