CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Nearly 2,700 children in Charlotte-Mecklenburg will go to school year-round.  The school board voted for the change Tuesday night.

Nineteen days will be added to the calendar for Druid Hills Academy and Thomasboro Academy.  They will have three short breaks through the year.

Students at Bruins Academy and Walter G. Byers School will attend the same amount of days as other schools but their breaks will be spread out.
