STALLINGS,NC--A Stallings man accused of stabbing a dog is facing charges.

Police arrested Steven Steele last night on misdemeanor cruelty charges for stabbing a dog in stallings.

Police say Steele provoked the dog on Sunday, it bit him, so he stabbed it.

The dog is expected to be ok.
