Store Collecting Furs to Help Animals

by Anthony Burman

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A local consignment store is collecting real and faux furs to help sick and orphaned animals.

Buffalo Exchange in Plaza Midwood is using the pelts for its Coats for Cubs program. These are donated to animal rehab organizations to put in kennels. Organizers say the animals prefer real fur to blankets.

Employees say the condition of the furs does not matter. Donations will be accepted until April 20.
