Suspects Arrested for Robbing Neighbors

CHARLOTTE, NC -- Two men have been arrested after police say they broke into their neighbors home and stole several items. On October 4, 2012, around 3 a.m., police were called to a home on Wyanoke Avenue in regards to a breaking and entering case. When they arrived they say the victim stated that he arrived at his residence to find the front door open and several items missing, including a distinctive type of toolbox.

The victim also state that he saw two men walking down the street with a similar toolbox to the one that was stolen from his home. Officers located Marcus Humphries and Sohrab King a short while later with the toolbox in their possession. Police say the suspects said they lived across the street from the victim.

Information and evidence gathered during the investigation implicated both Humphries and King in the break-in.   Both suspects were arrested and charged with breaking and entering with force, larceny, and  possession of stolen goods.

Officers also recovered property stolen from the victim’s residence in the woods directly behind the suspects home a short time later.
