CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- A German-based company that manufactures collectibles, soft plastic figurines and other toys announced that its North American headquarters will move to Charlotte.

Schleich North America Inc. will move to a 125,000 square foot office space on Twin Lakes Parkway that will be fully operational by May 1. The company will employ more than 60 full-time employees.

“We are excited to call Charlotte home to our North America operations,” said Walter Haack, President of Schleich North America Inc. “With the United States being our second largest market, we have the capacity to grow here, meet increased demands for our products and potentially outpace our German sales or headquarters in size.”

The company currently has its North American operations in Ottawa, Ontario.
