Tree Trimmer Takes Down SouthPark Power LinesCHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Schools are without power after a tree trimmer took down power lines off of Carmel Road. The incident occurred around 11:19 a.m. when a crane pulled power lines down. One car was set on fire in the incident. Medic responded to the scene but did not make any transports. They remained there to assist the Charlotte Fire Department. Children from the daycare at Saint John's Episcopal Church on Carmel Road were relocated to the Central Church of God, located at 5301 Sardis Road, because there of the power outage at Saint John’s Church. Parents should pick up their children from the Central Church of God location. If they have any questions they should contact the staff at Saint John’s Episcopal Church. |
