CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Thieves hit two credit unions in the Charlotte area within a few hours.  Now, investigators say they do not think the crimes are related.

The first robbery happened Thursday morning at the State Employees Credit Union on Pineville-Matthews Road.

Witnesses say the robber had a small silver gun.  The second robbery happened Thursday afternoon at the Truliant Federal Credit Union on Back Creek Drive in northeast Charlotte.

Both suspects and three suspects from bank robberies earlier this month remain on the run.
