CHARLOTTE, N.C.--The Transportation Security Administration found two loaded guns at Charlotte Douglas Airport's security checkpoint Thursday night. 

Airport Police say they took the .45 caliber Colt and the .40 caliber Smith & Wesson guns and cited the passengers. 

Firearms may be transported in checked baggage but they are prohibited in carry-on bags.  Last year, 14 guns were found at TSA checkpoints at CLT.
