Two Residents Injured in South Charlotte Apartment Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Two people were injured in a south Charlotte apartment fire early Wednesday morning. 

Officials say the flames broke out around 3 a.m. at the Sun Valley Apartment complex off Arrowood Road. 

Two residents were taken to the hospital with burns.  Both of those residents had to be airlifted to the burn center at Chapel Hill. 

Officials also say a fire investigator was injured but he is expected to be okay.  The Red Cross is assisting the families affected by the fire. 

There's no word on a cause at this time.
