Uptown Rallies Held Saturday for Trayvon Martin
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Justice for Trayvon Martin demonstrations continued Saturday, one week after George Zimmerman was found not guilty in Martin's shooting death.
True Healing Under God staged a prayer vigil in support of Martin at the federal courthouse in uptown at noon Saturday.
Hours later, supporters from the Forward Together movement met to march from Marshall Park to courthouse to demand that federal charged be brought against Zimmerman.
Forward Together grew out of the ongoing Moral Monday demonstrations in Raleigh.
