Charlotte, N.C. -  In this week's Waiting Child segment, WCCB Anchor Christine Noel shares the heartwarming success story of 2-year-old Madison and her loving father, Travaris.

When Madison was born in April, 2011, she was placed into foster care. Her mother was out of the picture and her father, Travaris, was partying and using and selling drugs on the street. When he learned that his daughter had no place to call home, he decided to shape up and found a way to be the loving, caring parent this little angel needed.

Travaris says Madison is his little ray of sunshine that saved his life.
