Wells Fargo Championship Kicks Off Monday

CHARLOTTE,NC--The 2013 Wells Fargo Championship kicked off Monday at Quail Hollow Country Club.

The first day of the tournaments 11th year brought out some local celebrities for Monday's Pro-Am.

Panthers Head-coach, Ron Rivera, retired Charlotte Hornet, Dell Curry, Char-Meck Police Chief, Rodney Monroe and UNCC Football Head-coach, Brad Lambert teed it up next to Camilo Villegas as one of many Pro-Am groups enjoyed the gorgeous fairways and greens of Quail Hollow country club.

Talk of the tournament leaving Charlotte after 2014 has been mentioned but the PGA Tour and Wells Fargo are reportedly discussing an agreement for the future.

Regardless of what happens, Charlotte will to look forward to the PGA Championship which is scheduled to be held at QHCC in August, 2017.
