CHARLOTTE, N.C. -   Wilson officially suspended his unofficial run for Mayor for a few days to help the Red Cross raise funds for the people of Moore, Oklahoma.  Like all of us, he wanted to do something to help the victims of the tornado.  When someone said they wanted to get his official unofficial Wilson for Mayor tee shirt, he knew he had a way to use his tee shirts to raise money.

This morning he was at the Arboretum McDonald's with his friend Angela Broome with Red Cross.  For ever $10 donation that the Red Cross received, the donor received a free unofficial Wilson for Mayor tee shirt.  As an added bonus, they will also get a free ticket to Saturday's History 300 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway compliments of the folks from CMS.

100% of the proceeds from the tee shirts for donations campaign go directly to the Red Cross and their disaster relief for victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

You can also donate $10 directly to the Red Cross by texting "Red Cross" to 90999.

Wilson will continue his tee shirts for donations campaign on Thursday morning.  Watch tonight's WCCB News @ Ten for his location.
