CHARLOTTE, N.C. -  The kids may be out of school for the summer, but Classroom Central is gearing up for their return.   Wilson joined them today in the Square in Uptown Charlotte at the corner of Trade and Tryon as they were kicking off their school supply donation drive.  Mayor Pro Tem Patrick Cannon even stopped by to help kick off the event.

It began raining, but that didn't dampen their spirits.  Volunteers will be Uptown all day, rain or shine taking donations of office supplies from Uptown businesses while enjoying games of eraser Jinga.  This evening the donation drive continues at Alive After Five and then back to the Uptown square on Friday.  Just look for the big yellow school bus.

Wells Fargo, Two Men & A Truck and Moe's Southwest Grill as well as CMS joined together to make the donation drive possible.   And a big thanks to Moira Quinn with Center City Partners for helping out Wilson.
