CHARLOTTE, N.C. - National Volunteer Week begins April 6th, with the week long event ending with Hands on Charlotte Day on Saturday the 12th.  Wilson was finding out what Hands on Charlotte Day is all about from some of the volunteers and charties that will be part of the event.

Each year Hands on Charlotte Day has brought together as many as 1,000 volunteers participating in diverse projects.  There are projects all across the Charlotte area that people can sign up and volunteer to help with.  From something as simple as sorting donated clothing and preparing care packages for children to as physical as clearing debris in neighborhoods or landscaping around schools, there is  a project that fits every volunteer.

Two volunteer organizations that Wilson talked with today Bright Blessings and the Bethlehem Center of Charlotte are part of the Hands on Charlotte event.

Register early so you can pick your favorite project with which to volunteer.  There is no registration on the day of the event.  To register click HERE.
