FAIRBORN, O.H.--A woman says she was fired from her job at Arby's shortly after a man tried to rob the restaurant.

Mary Archer has been working at the Arby's in Fairborn for nearly 22 years.  She said she was closing the store early Friday morning shortly after her co-worker left.

She heard someone ring the doorbell so she thought it was her co-worker.  When she opened the door, a man holding a knife told her to give him the money.

She was able to get away from the intruder and left the restaurant.  Police say the man got away empty handed.

She was terminated for violating one of Arby's safety and security policies.  The policy allegedly states that employees are not allowed to be alone inside the restaurant at any time.
