Wreck Shuts Down I-85 NorthCHARLOTTE, N.C.-- All lanes were shut down on the northbound side of I-85 briefly Thursday morning after a wreck that injured four people. The wreck happened near the Freedom Drive exit just after 9 a.m. Four people were taken to Carolinas Medical Center Main, two with life threatening injuries. Drivers should avoid this area.
