5-Year-Old Brings Heroin to Class for Show and Tell, Stepfather Arrested

BRIDGEPORT, Conn--Police say a 5-year-old child took 50 bags of heroin to school for show and tell.  Now, the student's stepfather is behind bars. 

Investigators say the child took the bags of heroin out of a jacket pocket and showed them to the class.  The teacher immediately confiscated the drugs and told the principal. 

Police say the drugs belonged to the child's stepfather, Santos Roman.  He has been charged with risk of injury to a minor and felony drug charges. 

Roman is being held on $100,000 bond.
