Child Spends $2,500 While Playing Game On iPadUNITED KINGDOM--A 5-year-old child spent more than $2,500 on his family's iPad while playing a game that was downloaded for free. The child's mother said her son purchased 'darts' and 'bombs' as he played Zombies Vs. Ninjas on an iPad. The weapons cost up to $99.99 on the game. The game is offered for free in Apple's App store but add-ons can be purchased while someone is playing the game. iTunes sent 19 emails about the purchased items but the mother did not receive the emails until the next day. The family contacted Apple and were given a full refund several days later. |
