SENDHWA, INDIA--A man cut off his tongue after his wife and daughter left him for verbally abusing them. 

Thirty-two-year-old Bunty Verma said he was so upset about his family leaving that he wanted to make sure he never said anything else bad to them. 

Verma sent his wife a letter explaining that he cut his tongue off because it was responsible for the cruel words he had been using. 

Verma was admitted to a hospital in Sendhwa, where he is now recovering.  No word if his wife wants to reconcile.
