Man May Have Died From Spontaneous Human CombustionMULDROW, O.K.-- Authorities investigating the death of an Oklahoma man say the cause of death may be spontaneous human combustion. 65-year-old Danny Vanzandt was found dead inside his home on Monday. According to the Sequoya County Sheriff, his body was burned in a way that suggests he may have spontaneously combusted. Reports say there was no damage to the house and no signs of struggle. The victim's autopsy also found no evidence of foul play. Authorities are still looking for an ignition source, but say that Vanzandt was an alcoholic and a heavy smoker- which could have caused the combustion. There have only been about 200 cases like this worldwide. |
