SC Soldier Kills Friend Trying To Cure HiccupsKILLEEN, TX-- A Fort Hood soldier admits to accidentally shooting his friend while trying to scare away his hiccups. South Carolina resident Spc. Patrick Myers pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter after shooting Pfc. Isaac Lawrence Young back in September. The incident happened while the two were watching a football game. Myers told police he was trying to scare his friend so his hiccups would stop and only used the gun because he thought dummy rounds were inside. He was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in a military prison on Thursday. |
