TEXAS--Two Texas representatives are pitching an idea to create a national park in space.

The representatives said they wanted to protect the artifacts astronauts left behind on the moon.

However, they said the national park designation would only apply to the American flags, lunar rovers and other objects. This is due to an international treaty that says the moon's surface does not belong to the United States or any other nation.
