Woman Sets Drink Machine on Fire
NEW BERN, N.C.-- When the drink machine wouldn't give Debra Johnson her drink or money back, she set the machine on fire!
Firefighters were called to the scene of a Piggly Wiggly when flames were in front of the building. Officers looked at the surveillance footage and were able to identify Debra Johnson as the person who set the machine on fire.
Police say Johnson lit a newspaper and put the burning paper inside the drink machine. Once the fire was started she got a drink from another machine and walked away.
The machine was melted and as well as $35 worth of change inside the 7-Up drink machine.
Johnson will be representing herself in this case because she does not want a lawyer to lie for her. Her bail was set at $10,000.
