Israel and Hamas Agree on 72-Hour Cease Fire
JERUSALEM -- Israel and Hamas are just a few hours away from the beginning of a 72-hour cease fire.
The truce comes after two deadly attacks in Jerusalem. A pedestrian was killed when a man used a bulldozer to flip over a city bus. A soldier was also killed.
In Gaza, Palestinians are cleaning up after Israeli soldiers struck a refugee camp. An eight-year-old girl died and dozens of children were injured.
"More than 1,800 Palestinians have been killed. Eighty percent of them are civilians. Those who have committed these crimes should be held responsible," said Riyad Mansour, Palestinian Ambassador to the U.N.
Israeli forces are winding down their ground operation in Gaza. Israel's prime minister says the mission won't be over until all of Hamas' underground tunnels are destroyed.
