LONDON, ENGLAND--Officials say the nurse who took the prank call from two radio DJ's in reference to the condition of Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, has been found dead.
The hospital released the following statement, "It is with very deep sadness that we confirm the tragic death of a member of our nursing staff, Jacintha Saldanha."
The statement also said Saldanha was the recent victim of a hoax call to the hospital during the Duchess of Cambridge's stay due to extreme morning sickness during her pregnancy.
On Tuesday, two Austrian radio hosts called the King Edward VII hospital impersonating Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles.
They asked the nurse to give them an update on their granddaughter's condition.
The DJ's received details on Kate's condition. The hospital later issued a statement saying they are reviewing their telephone protocols.
An autopsy on Saldanha's body is expected to take place in the next couple of days.
Officials are saying Saldanha committed suicide.
