CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Wilson was at Walter G. Byers School where a group of fourth graders were getting "blinded by science" thanks to students from Myers Park High School and Bright Ideas.  The learning initiative is a program that is part of the Bright Ideas education grant program.  The Bright Ideas program is sponsored by the North Carolina Electric Co-operative to provide funds for N.C. teachers for innovative classroom projects that aren't normally funded.  The program has helped the students at Walter G. Byers to improve their performance ratings

Wilson talked with students from both schools as well as teachers, parents and Walter Byers' principle about the program.  And, oh yeah, it was dress up day as well...a couple of interesting people showed up!
