CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Add these savory treats to your Oscar Party Menu! Brittany Dixon is whipping up a family favorite.

The Mommy Blogger, of A Healthy Slice of Life, is making Broccoli Cheddar Quinoa bites.

Here's the recipe:

Broccoli Cheddar Quinoa Bites with Easy Cheddar Cheese Sauce for dipping Broccoli Cheddar Quinoa Bites (makes about 30 mini quinoa bites) Ingredients: 2 cups cooked quinoa 2 large eggs 2 garlic cloves, miced 1.5 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup finely chopped broccoli 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Spray mini-muffin pan with non-stick spray and spoon mixture into each cup, pressing down the mixture as you go. Bake 15-20 minutes until quinoa bites are firm. Let cool and enjoy! Easy Cheddar Cheese Sauce Ingredients: 2 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp flour salt & pepper (to taste) 1 cup milk 1,5 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese (not pre-grated) Directions: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour then whisk for one minute. Slowly whisk in milk then season with salt and pepper and switch to a wooden spoon. Stir and cook until thickened, about 4-5 minutes. Turn off heat then add cheese and stir until melted and smooth. Taste then season with additional salt and pepper if necessary. Serve immediately.
