Michael Jordan goes one-on-one with FNR's Anna KooimanIn the light of some controversial trades, Bobcats owner and basketball legend, Michael Jordan is on a mission to prove he is committed to Charlotte. He spent Tuesday helping out the Salvation Army and the Second Harvest Food Bank. A handful of players also joined MJ at the Marsh Road Boys and Girls Club for a fitness clinic. It was all part of a new Cats Care campaign. Fox Charlotte's Anna Kooiman got a rare one on one with Jordan and asked him about getting rid of key players Gerald Wallace and Nazr Mohammed. Critics say ownership is making this a throw-away season. Jordan says he is looking at the big picture and that the extra two first round draft picks will be good for the Bobcats future. Anna also asked Jordan about how he would propose saving middle school sports in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. The Cats gave $250,000 to CMS last year because of the budget crisis. Jordan tells Anna it comes down to everyone in the community helping the problem, not just coaches. Jordan says volunteering is a good option. |
