Quick Snacks for the Kids

CHARLOTTE, NC: Brittany Dixon, founder of A Healthy Slice of Life, is back with another quick snack for busy parents to make. Watch her make Cheesy Ranch Crackers.


Cheesy Ranch Crackers

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar

1 cup whole wheat flour

6 T butter, diced

1 Tbsp dried parsley

1 tsp dried dill

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp dried chives

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

Combine flour, cheese, spices and herbs in food processor. Process a few times until well combined. Add butter and process until dough form. Remove dough and roll out to ¼-1/2 inch thick. Use a pizza slicer or cookie cutters to cut out crackers. Bake of parchment paper for 15 minutes, until cooked through.
