Spotlight Charlotte: Baseball, Cycling, and Food Tasting

by Kathryn Searles

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- It's a big weekend in Uptown Charlotte - complete with baseball, cycling, and food tasting. We're getting a sneak peek at the most buzzed about events going down in the Queen City.

Charlotte Center City Partners' Moira Quinn is giving us a rundown.

If you didn't get a ticket to Opening Night of the Knights first games played at BB&T Stadium, don't worry. You can celebrate with the rest of the town at the Knights Festival. It kicks off at noon on game day at Romare Bearden Park. Music, food trucks and more!

The events roll into the weekend with the Novant Health Bicycle Criterium on Saturday, April 12. The ride benefits brain tumor research, made up of the greatest cyclists in the world.

Hungry? Check out Taste of the Nation on Wednesday, April 16. Foodies are helping fight hunger while tasting food from the best restaurants in town.

Quinn is also giving us a look at the Thursday night Vision Awards - local architects, teams and restaurants will be honored.
