CHARLOTTE, N.C. - With temperatures in the upper 90's and the heat index in the triple digits, summer safety tips are more important than ever. Wilson was at the Carolinas Chapter of the American Red Cross today to find out how the Red Cross is helping the community during this intense summer heat. This summer has been a very busy one for the volunteers, not only are they manning cooling stations, but they have been going to house fires and helping with the recent floods in the area.
