CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- American Idol judge Randy Jackson is using his personal experience with type 2 diabetes to help others with diabetes understand the serious complications, including heart disease.
     Soon after he was diagnosed in 2003, he learned that people with diabetes are more likely to suffer from heart disease or stroke than those without it. Jackson spoke with FNR's Derek James on how he's getting in tune with the disease.
