Mommy Teratory: The Need For More School Nurses

by Kathryn Searles

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A parent advocacy group is pushing to get Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools more school nurses.

A parent with a child who has an extreme allergy talks about how the effort is close to her heart.

NC Parents for School Health wants the county commissioners to get the schools more funding so the nurse per student ratio increases.

Their next meeting is Thursday, October 10 at 10 am and 7 pm at the Providence Pointe neighborhood clubhouse, 15440 Prescott Hill Ave Charlotte 28277.
